Simplex Data is a service supported by the Globalstar network.  With it, customers may use an inexpensive battery or line powered transmitter to send GPS position fixes, alarms and other short data transmissions.

Customers who need to monitor unmanned equipment, track fleets, and detect the movement of assets will benefit from the Simplex Data Service.

Blue Oceans first introduced the Simplex service to Canadian fisheries customers in June 2004.  This followed a year of developmental integration as well as rigorous testing by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) before government approval was granted.  As a result Blue Oceans offers a robust service platform that has experienced 100% uptime since
January 2004.  

The company is currently the only federally approved provider of simplex services for vessel monitoring in Canada, and are the exclusive provider to Globalstar's Quick Locate service in Canada and the USA.  Blue Oceans is widely recognized as being subject matter experts in the use and operation of Simplex modems.
